Founder’s Story
KWEYVE Textiles was born out of a deep love for design, craftsmanship, and the desire to create something truly my own. After earning my BSe in Business Management from Coventry University. I pursued my passion for spaces and aesthetics by studying Interior Architecture at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. When I returned to Nigeria, I worked as an Interior Design Consultant at Haneefa International Ltd, where I gained hands-on experience in design execution and project management. But deep down, I knew I wanted to build something from the ground up— a creative venture that would merge my artistic vision with my entrepreneurial spirit.
With just N18,500 from my NYSC allowance, I took a leap of faith and started KWEYVE Textiles. What began as a small dream quickly grew into a thriving textile printing company in the heart of FCT Abuja, dedicated to creating bold, expressive fabrics that celebrate culture and creativity. Over time, my work gained recognition, with features on CNN Africa and BBC Hausa, and collaborations that pushed the boundaries of textile artistry.
Today, KWEYVE is more than a business-it’s a movement. I am focused on sealing it into the leading textile powerhouse in Nigeria, not just for its designs but for its impact. Through sustainable practices, innovation, and collaboration, I aim to create opportunities for local artisans and redefine the role of African textiles in fashion and interiors. What started as a vision with limited resources has become a testament to the power of creativity, resilience, and an unwavering belief in one’s dreams. And the journey is just beginning.
